We are Morten and Marichu Carstensen, owners of The Candlelight Cafe!
This cafe and shop is a a creation out of love for coffee and candles. We are working in Malvar where there are no coffee shops. We came upon a new construction site along the highway in Marauoy and thought that it would be a great place for a Cafe.
So, initially, the cafe came from our own personal need since there’s not a place in sight where one can sit down in peace and quiet, read the newspaper and have a cup of Joe on the way to or from Malvar/Inosluban. Since we are manufacturing candles, we decided to merge the two. A candlelit cafe!
As the name suggests – this is a Cafe within a Candle shop.
Our coffee is original Kape Barako. We have tasted coffee in 20 countries, made in over 10 different countries, but still go back to the Barako Coffee which is found right here in our own backyard in Batangas! Its nice and strong aroma and the bitter taste is good for coffee mixes as well as a ‘straight up’ espresso perfectly brewed on our Italian Espresso machine.
